Why not take in a view of Mt. Fuji while enjoying a special Junmai Ginjo sake and Japanese cuisine? We'll prepare everything, including your camping equipment. An entirely new tour that you won't find anywhere else.

On this fun outdoor tour, located in a campground bordering Lake Motosu (one of the Fuji Five Lakes) in front of Mt. Fuji, you'll relax and take in the natural beauty of the mountain, while at night you'll enjoy Japanese food and barbecue along with specially selected sake. The sake, Junmai Ginjo is a wonderful selection and fairly hard to get your hands on.

The views you'll take in near this campground is the very same you can find on the back of a 1,000 yen note.

You'll have access to a marvelous view of Mt. Fuji in the light of the dawn and the setting sun, vistas your typical traveler will never have the chance to encounter. Take in the constantly shifting view of this famous peak to your hearts content, and snap a few pics for posterity. The next day, we'll be stopping by a natural hot spring in Yamanashi.

Starting from mid to late April, the cherryblossoms will be in bloom, followed soon after by the bright green of new leaves.

In summer, the area feel cool and open, and by October, you can start to see the subdued beauty of the autumn colors.

On our way back, we'll be stopping at the sake brewery, Sasaichi-Shuzo.

Yamanashi Prefecture, Minamitsuru, Fuji, in the town of Lake Kawaguchi One of the Fuji Five Lakes, damned up by an eruption of Mt. Fuji. Famous for the upside-down reflection of Fuji that can be glimpsed on its surface.

Lake Motosu Campgrounds

Yamanashi Prefecture, Minamitsuru, Fuji, in the town of Lake Kawaguchi, Honsu 218

Nestled at the foot of Mt. Fuji in Yamanashi Prefecture, it's one of the Fuji Five Lakes. With its exceptionally high levels of clarity, Lake Motosu is famous as a diving spot. It's famous as well, for the diamond vision of Mt. Fuji that can be seen reflected on its waters. The Lake Motosu Campgrounds are located right next to the lake itself. The campgrounds are famous for their very long history, having been established in 1948 (Showa 23), operated by the Motosu Tourism Association.

The Lake Motosu Campgrounds are located on the eastern shore of Lake Motosu, separated from the lakeside by the road. They are operated by the Lake Motosu Tourism Association, so even though the lake is one of the Fuji Five Lakes, it can keep its fees low. Almost the entirety of the vast campgrounds are open to vehicles, so moving in your luggage and setting up tents will be easy.

The campgrounds are separated into a tent area and a bungalow area. In the tent area, you can make use of tents you bring for yourself, as well as campers. The tent area is broken up into sections, so you'll be able to set your tent wherever you like within your area.

The campgrounds are managed as much as possible so as to preserve the natural area, so you'll be able to enjoy the beauty of the natural forest to its fullest. The waters of Lake Motosu are extremely pure and clear. In the summer, not only can you enjoy swimming and playing in the water, but you'll also be able to try out activities like kayaking and fishing. It's a wonderful location, where, very early in the day, just as the morning mist is clearing from the surface of the lake, there's a single moment when you might just be able to catch a glimpse of Mt. Fuji...
